Changed CAT; issues with idle and lambda submerge
I'm very happy I have a perfect condition CAT fitted to my 156. Now I enjoy the great alfa sound for the first time. But soon, I had some minor issues.
While I changed the catalytic converter, I also changed the knock sensor which always displayed an OBD error if engine has been running for awhile. However the issue is still there. Maybe the nut is screwed too tight? I also have an unsolvable canister purge valve error. At this point, I think it might be an issue with wires of the ECU itself. So I still get these errors codes since forever.
P0443 - Evaporation control valve No signal Fatal
P0325 - Knock sensor Signal low Fatal Light ON
After my work, I reset the ECU self adaptation by FES. Then test the engine and get these additional problems.
P1135 - Pre-Cat. O2 Sensor heater (1) Invalid signal Fatal
P0135 - PreCat. Mixture adjustment status No signal Fatal
P0130 - Lambda 1 Signal (Pre-Cat.) No signal Fatal
The engine is shaking on idle, ONLY WHEN HOT. A/C on or off it still happens when it is trying a low idle. Engine load is 30% at desired idle rpm of 850. But 20% load @ 1200 rpm.
I have had many 156 cars with idle problems and got a few ideas what to do. But why is my car doing this after simply changing the cat stumps me. I'll try to take out the battery overnight to see. Who knows? But I need your help brainstorming!
thanks in advance
