Help! 147 coil pack orientation
Does anyone know if a coil pack from one cylinder can fire a spark plug of another?
Becaiuse, I've got a wee bit of a problem with some new HT leads I've just bought, the ones originally fitted to the car were wired with each coil pack feeding the second sparkplug of the same cylinder,
Coil pack No1. HT lead went to the secondary sparkplug of cylinder No1.
with all the HT leads being the same length, I have just bought some high performance versions (because most of my leads were damaged) which have two long leads and two short leads?!
I've been in touch with the supplier and they said the leads were wired (coil pack to plug) 1-4, 2-3, 3-2, 4-1 and have sent a picture of a 156 wired in this configuration.
But on my actual car, each coil pack goes to its own cylinder. is the 147 different to the 156? or will they work in either orientation?
Any help would be greatly appreciated...........
the car is a 51 reg (CF3 I think)
