Wet A pillars after windscreen change
A few weeks ago I had the windscreen replaced in my 156 sportwagon because of a crack. The fitter had issues getting the seal to fit correctly on the passenger side. So it was bodged in til they could order a new windscreen and seals and a pillar trims (as they got mastic on them). For the next 10 days the car was bone dry inside. Then the 2nd fitter came along and fitted the new windscreen and forgot about the a pillars but he got more mastic on the car than the first guy. That night it rained and the passenger side a pillar was soaking. So next day they send out lead tech. He refitted the windscreen and new a pillar trims and we thought all was good. The next day the A pillar on the passenger side was again soaking wet.
They have since been back and sprayed some water on the screen etc and cant seen to find a leak. But its going in to the local depo on Tues for another new windscreen and to see if they can make this one water tight.
It comes in from the passenger side at the top somewhere. Have a pic if you guys want to see it. Do any of you guys have any ideas as to what to check out etc to see if we can get the car water tight as its driving me nuts now. haha
