The GT has gone

After 2 great years, my 2007 GT 1.9jtdm has gone. It was black with red leather and the Nav system and apart from one minor niggle, it never missed a beat.

I have traded it in for an 08 Brera 2.4jtdm, I have always loved the Brera and they have now dropped in value to a point where I can afford one. First impressions are positive, I just hope it can match the GT for reliability long term.

Have enjoyed reading all your postings the last 2 years, great forum, keep it up

I had a Brera as a courtesy car for a couple of days, have to say the looks didn't live up to the reality.

The driving position, for me, was too high, felt like I was sitting on it rather than in it. There was a little too much aluminium going on which was also scratched where the keys hung...admittedly I'd take a bit more care if it were mine. Didn't like the steering wheel and to top it all the rear lefgroom for such a big car was absurd. With the driver's seat in the normal position it was touching the rear seat.

Having said that it does look nice... apart from maybe the rear, mind you there's nothing wrong with big-bottomed girls And I did like the panoramic roof.

Hope you get on OK with it, I plan to keep the GT for (hopefully) 2 more years by when it'll be pretty much done with 140K miles on the clock, sadly Alfa aren't currently rolling out anything to interest me so in 2 years time it'll have to be something else.... probably and Audi A5.

Anyhoo, the very best of luck to you.

Loose - not close, compact, or tight in structure or arrangement
Lose - to part with or come to be without, as through theft, accident, negligence, etc.
