Water(?) leak at front of drivers side front wheel arch
Had a quick mooch through and there are a couple of threads on this but none quite fit with my issue. Apologies if I'm going over old ground.
I drive a 2007 1.9 JTDm Lusso GT (my baby). Got home this evening and reversed into the car port. Got out and noticed a trail of what I thought was oil tracing back to the drivers side front wheel. A better inspection and it's just water (phew!) but there is a definite drip. The front bottom corner of the wheel arch lining is soaked about two inches up about four inches across. I haven't done a taste test but the smell is dirty water and it's a murky dark grey colour.
If it helps, I'd driven 25 miles down the motorway with the heating on but fairly low and it's around freezing outside. I made a stop a mile before home at the supermarket for about 15 minutes. Water levels seem fine and I can't see any wet patches through the grille in the wheel arch (although it is by torch). Cam belt and water pump were done at around 39k in May 12 and she's now on just over 50k
Any ideas? Should I be worried? Have I just gone through an invisible puddle? Can I still go to work tomorrow?
