Selina 5w30 all down the side of my car
I haven't been able to wash my car in about 3 weeks, so today I gave it a good clean (its a 147 JTD Q2). Upon taking the power hose to the drivers side I noticed the entire side was greasy..like the pan I just used to fry some bacon. Upon further inspection it appears oil is leaking out of the car just in front of the drivers side wheel.
It's booked in for a service on the 11th, but I would really like to know where the oil is coming from exactly. Looking in the engine bay all looks well, but after a drive, park up and a little while later there is a small amount of oil on the floor..when driving the oil is coating the side of the car..the two tyres that side and the breaks etc. I assume the diff has been doing its job as I've not really noticed a loss of traction!
My question is, what is over that side of the engine bay that could be the source of the leaking engine oil? (its definitely engine oil as the electronic gauge tells me its no longer 100"% full).
