Broken Plug - Worth an ECU reset?
Last week the engine light came on and I discovered a broken plug, and a badly melted ht lead.
I've replaced the plug and lead, and cleaned and checked the gaps on the other 7 plugs, and the car is now running much better.
I was wondering if it is worth doing an ECU reset, as it may not be ideally set up given that it was running with low compression in one cylinder due to the broken plug, possibly for a number of weeks, maybe even months.
Disconnecting the battery for 45 minutes, is that all I need to do? Will it clear the engine light fault possibly too?
