Alfa GT - Vague Steering, strange creaking noise on full lock
Firstly I love my GT but my patience is wearing thin after spending almost a grand on it over the past 9 months!
This may help with the diagnosis so I will list what has been replaced in the suspension department.
Front- Top Wisbones and Droplinks
The car has been behaving strangely over the last four months with the handling changing depending upon weather conditions. Oddley the steering had more feel and the car had better grip in the wet, the steering felt vague and lighter in dry conditions. The car also pulled slightly to the left, tracking checked and confirmed ok, tyres had plenty of tread on them and were only 6 months old. (Same feel on old tyres).
Now the steering has gone very vague in all conditions and when you turn the steering wheel at low speeds (10mph approx) you get a creaking/slight clicking noise from the front suspension area on hard lock to full lock. The car is pulling more to the left also. The only other thing to mention is a slight knock occasionally when turning the steering wheel when driving out of car parking spaces.
The car is not nice to drive and all that lovely alfa feel has gone - your suggestions would be appreciated
