Synergy2B+ tuning box
Just thought i would let you know my thoughts on this tuning box, when i
first got the car it had a problem with boost pressure which made the car
feel very quick which was nice, apart from the side effect of putting the
engine warning light on but once they sorted the problem out the car felt
flat, still quick but lost that little edge.
Had a look around and read reviews and reports on tuning boxes and remaps,
and decided a dual channel tuning box was the way to go for me. The box i
choose was the synery2b+ from rover rons tuning diesels, this has the
option of 10 different settings so it should be possible to find something
Fitting took about 10 mins to plug it all in and route the cables etc,
after that read the instructions and decided to try it on setting 8. I'm
guessing that it takes a few miles for the ecu to adjust to everything
because even though if felt good right from the start once i put a few
miles on it it did feel better.
On setting 8 everything is on medium and car to me feels like it should
have right from the factory, every thing smooth no smoke unless you floor
it and then not much, it feels more responsive from around 1800rpm and over
that it just puts a smile on your face. Over taking is done with no fuss
just press and go.
If you drive as on a normal daily drive to work etc you can feel the
difference everytime you exit a roundabout or overtake someone, its just
effortless and if you want to hoon around it will spin the wheels in 3rd
with not much provocation.
Also tried it on setting 10, all i can say is its still there and i'm still
smiling, did not notice any smoke.
