wax oil in cills & elsewhere !

underneath the car on my 147 i notice that the car surface is quite flat and i am going to have it wax oiled anyway, do you think it is worth drilling the cills in a couple of places to enable the garage to get right in there & then fill the drilled holes with a grommet?.

No need to drill holes just behind the front wing on the sill is a oval rubber bung.

I personally wouldn't bother - 147's don't seem to rust like the 156 did. My 2002 car hasn't got a mark on it.

Thats not quite true, ive seen MANY 147's with holes in the floor..sadly.

Later cars had very little underseal too.

Dinitrol is better than waxoyl, leaves a much better finish and is excellent for combating existing surface rust.
