147 JTD Overheating
After about 12 or so trouble free months (!) my 147 has just started overheating.
Since I've had it, it usually runs at 90 degrees, but on Sunday I was headed up a fairly steep hill when the temperature gauge shot up to the maximum and it started beeping at me. I backed right off at the top of the hill and it went back down to 90. I've used it over the past few days and had no problems, until I went up the hill again this morning.
The water level is ok, there is plenty of coolant in and no oil in it. The oil level also seems ok, no water in it and no sludge under the cap.
The radiator doesn't have any holes in or any obvious obstructions. The fan is kicking in ok. There is nothing leaking out the engine bay or exhaust.
When the temperature did go up there was no steam coming out. I put the blowers on full power and it blew out cool air. There was no obvious loss of performance.
Anyone got any pointers at all? Is it possibly an electric issue of some sort?
Thanks in advance
