Starting probs and codes
Hi guys, I recently got myself a 156 v6 and having one or two problems. Sometimes it starts ok, sometimes not and ocasionally pops back through exhaust when it doesn't start. Read the codes and get p0100 air flow meter signal low, p0340 camshaft position sensor signal high and p0443 evaporation control valve signal low. I changed the cashaft sensor with a good one I had and no change in the codes, checked and cleaned all connections and earths under bonnet and no change. So decided to check connections to ecu in the passenger footwell, the ecu didn't seem to be fastened in very well, one bolt onto a painted surface.
Bad light has now halted play putting ecu back in tommorow.
So what do you guys think, do you need a good earth on the ecu or is it earthed somwhere else?
Am I looking at a wiring problem somewhere? Can I check maf and cam sensor without having to just try new parts?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
