So what went wrong, did *some-one* blow oyur cover ...******
ANYONE, even a 10 year old child would know that if you have >200bhp you MUST have a LSD fitted to your car...... but hey your 147 turbo doesn't really exist does it Paddy
Thanks Black Beauty.I aint a little 10 year old kid. I know whats needed in the car and whats not needed.I do own and drive this car after all.
Id like too see u have a crack at something like this.I havent had time to fit an L.S.D.I wouldnt know how to fit one either. So I wont or wouldnt try to install something that I dont know how to fit.I never actually or specifically said that I had an L.S.D fitted either.I have an L.S.D sorted for the car but at present its not fitted.
I have been more concerned with fitting a bigger turbo and getting the car correctly mapped so it moves and the brakes sorted than working on the gearbox or L.S.D.As I said I only got the car back on the road at 4am and at 6 am I met up with 5 other cars to travel to Enniskillen. So I just about made it there.
And u are wrong about must have an L.S.D.They can actually be pretty useless on a front wheel drive car sometimes and be of no real use or advantage to a fwd car.
As I said it was my first time and I made alot of mistakes but at least I put my car out there and let rip in it.
Taking a road car(set up for fast road use) and getting a fast drag time isnt as easy as u might think.I learnt this the hard way on Sunday.I made some mistakes with my driving, but Im still learning. If I dont make some mistakes then I wont learn new things about my car and driving it.I still enjoyed myself though.
And I managed to suprise a few people too.But the main thing is that I had fun in my car and thats all that matters at the end of the day.
At least I have the guts/courage now to put the car out there and let rip in it with only a longer 1st and 5th gear in a standard box and still have it in one piece. And not just show it off all the time
Ok so it wasnt a very fast time but I was there to enjoy myself and it was a nice change to see an Alfa on a drag strip and actually motoring too.
