I have an Alfa gt 1.9 jtdm 2005 with 117k and i love it, ive had it for a nearly a year now with no problems however i bought it with 110k miles, some would say high mileage but the car was genuine with full alfa service history and most of the '' common'' problems had been fixed with the car like the water pump, oil cooler, clutch, gearbox etc...
Now i have recently done a full service myself on the car(5 months ago), oil, filter, air filter, pollen filter etc etc,
I noticed a patch of oil on my drive today which is from my car, now i don't know if its oil or if somehow water has run down the engine collecting dirt and bits of oil and made this mark on my drive, but when i check the dipstick it is missing about 20cl out of the sump and i definitely filled the car up to the top with the service which was about 5 months ago, and i had checked it since and all was well,
Basically what i would like to know is, is it normal for this car to use some oil? i do notice sometimes if i havent used the car for a week a cloud of white smoke comes out the back on start up,
If not do you have any suggestions where to look, ive been under the car taken that plastic engine shield out, and theres no oil on that and I cant see a leak anywhere,
I hope my GT will be ok
Any help would be great. thanks
