So, I never really use the driving lights (lower lights under front grille).
Yesterday for no real reason I pressed the button and nowt happened, or so I thought. What did happen is that the side lights came on, along with the dipped beam! Full beam works as normal.
Soi tried the rear fogs, which I use even less as I hate them & only use in severe fog, and they too are not working. I last used these about a year ago & they all worked then.
My first hope is a fuse, but my limited technical knowledge is using a thought process like this:
If it was a fuse, an error message would appear (similar to side light failure etc.) but there's no message. Makes me think that current is still flowing, but to the wrong place & in this case the side lights not driving lights. So, could this be a short?
Any advice as always is appreciated. I dont mind tackling minor electrical stuff, its the heavy mechanical stuff that I go to running to the hills about
I know this is not a crucial fault but it's just annoying! I've had no issues on the car for ages!!! In fact, no faults since I bought it over a year ago. Only the ones I inherited which are now all fixed.
Cheers Chaps and Chapesses..
