156 abs sensor replacement
Hi all after a bit of advice if anyone knows the answer......
Ive got a 156 2.0ts sportwagon 2001 and on the way home the other night the speedo stopped working the abs light came on every time I needed to brake the abs felt like it was cutting in right at the top of the pedal travel. after a bit the hand brake warning light came on and it felt like I had no abs, the brakes worked ok just felt like I had a bit more pedal travel than usual.
I got it home and used the alfa/fiat ecu scan and that told me it was the abs sensor that had failed, I have recently changed the front near side wheel bearing and managed to find a post on here where the exact same thing has happened to someone after the abs sensor was damaged during the bearing change.
Has anyone else had to change the sensor? if so how did they do it and did they have major issues while they did it? I know these sensors are very easy to snap and would like to know if thats how they should be removed etc
Any advice on this would be really helpful,
Thanks in advance
