uneven rear tyre tread

I have just noticed that both my rear tyres on my 156 selespeed have major uneven wear, they are badly worn on the inner side of the tread. Ive had the tyres less than 2 years and i don't do a huge amount of mile probs 5 to 8k. And i don't race about, drive very calmly these days due to the cost of petrol.

any help please, i will be replacing the tyres tomorrow as they are pretty bad but would like to know why this has happened as there is loads of tread on the middle and outer parts of the tyre.

Always keep pressure at correct amount and the car doesn't site around i use it daily.

The rear toe and (I think) camber is adjustable on the 156. Get yourself a full 4 wheel alignment done about 60 - 70. Do not use Halfords. While one or two centres have good staff they are very rare.

its really strange that this has happened, as ive had the car nearly 5 years and the tyres have always been fine just normal daily wear.

booked the car into garage on wednesday for them to have a look at, i just hope its not going to cost the earth to get fixed as this month has already cost with doing the insurance makes you feel a bit

Probably find that the bushes in the transverse arms are wearing, or the arms are bent! It amazing how easy they are to bend when you go to have tyres replaced and they jack the car up in the wrong place!!!
