Not another MSCF thread...
..yes I'm afraid it is.
My car is a 2005 GT 3.2 v6
Today the dreaded "Motor System Control Failure" message appeard on the dash just as I was pulling into a parking space. I have restarted & driven the car since and the error is still there, and the car does not seem to be too affected apart from a lumpy/hunting idle. In addition the fuel guage is now showing empty with fuel light flashing (but only when the engine is running)
I have the torque android app on my phone and a bluetooth ODB so I read the error codes. Gulp. Loads of them. So, I tried a clear all codes, which worked, but upon restart the same MSCF came back.
Reading the codes again (after another drive) gives this list
P0141 - O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 2)
P0161 - O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2 Sensor 2)
P0135 - O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 1)
P0443 - Evaporative Emission Control System Purge Control Valve Circuit Malfunction
P0155 - O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2 Sensor 1)
P1513 - ? Intake Manifold Runner Control (Bank 2) Stuck Closed ?
P0100 - Mass or Volume Air Flow Circuit Malfunction
P1135 - ? Pedal Position Sensor A Circuit Intermittent ?
P1155 - ? Alternative Fuel Controller ?
P0136 - O2 Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 2)
P0130 - O2 Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 1)
P0150 - O2 Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2 Sensor 1)
P0156 - O2 Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2 Sensor 2)
Wow. Seems like something really wrong there then. I've searched but not found someone with so many codes before. Does it point to anything in particular ? I was hoping battery but a quick check at a tyre & battery place on the way home showed it to be OK.
Any help or more diagnostics I can do ? Thanks
Update: Added the info I found on the codes. Note, those with ? are suspect as my web searches seem to indicate theses codes vary by manufacturer and also ECU version.
Lots of o2 sensor issues !
