Hmmm 147 T spark 1.6 Year 2005

I have the option of buying a 147 as above with the Timing Belt Cracked and it would also appear to have boiled at some point. The price is cheap - but I am wondering if the Valves descend into the combustion chamber i,e, would they have been damaged when the Belt snapped. Is the Car best avoided at any price? or are there any visual clues that I can check for to ascertain the extent of the damage. Thanks.

Likey hood is they are bent to fook. Only way to find out for sure is to take the engine apart. They can be repaired but id rather swap the engine. unless its cheap enough to throw another engine in I wouldn't bother.

AS hughes says really. If you can afford to go for another engine or strip and rebuild then dont bother. Not a great combo for an engine to have been through
