juddering on clutch take up
hi, read a load of posts on juddering clutches on here.
basically i have a jtdm 16v ,clutch is a uprated organic sprung hub disc, hd plate, with smf conversion and Q2 diff all fitted several years ago and 30,000 miles odd.no real issues other than the odd very slight judder 12 months ago one day did it then went(put down to dusty disc maybe) no problems since and im running 400nm and 200hp, get no clutch slip at all.
if i sit in car and in neutral press and depress pedal all feels normal, bite point is at same place, no vibrations through pedal etc.
clutch in 1st gear selected vibrates badly as it reaches bite point whole car shakes, same if reverse is used.
now ive had a few goes i can add more revs slip clutch more and reduce car shaking.
oddly if i put handbrake on and let clutch out in 1st or rev judder seems to go and i can slip clutch and it will pull against brake and lift or pull down car against brake smoothly.
out on the road once on the move no problem changing gears, just pulling away from a stop etc.
ive seen a few threads on engine mounts also and checked and retightned the rear mounts under footwells.
just doesnt feel like clutch problem ie disc damaged to me.
what would a driveshaft issue appear as taking up drive?
what would cv joint issues appear as taking up drive?
would both of these disapear once on the move.
what method can i check these on the drive?
thanks in advance for any replys
