Don't know if it's the same on the 147, but on the 145 you could change the mode the alarm was in for different countries - only a few of them beeped when armed/disarmed.
One way to find out - sit in the car, and alarm it - give it 30 secs IIRC for the grace period for the motion sensors to settle, then start moving and see if the alarm goes off.
Doe the indicators flash when it's alarmed/disarmed?
I've always wondered about the Tracker, you shouldn't need one - you pay for insurance against theft, and if you have to pay extra to get a Tracker fitted (which isn't cheap) - then you are effectively insuring the insurers that their loss will be reduced at your cost. It's wrong IMHO.
