Alfa JTS errors P1173 & P1176-what cause?
Hi guys, my '03 156 JTS has been having these two errors pop up every so often, sometimes they clear by themselves after a few drives, sometimes i have to clear them with fiatecuscan and they usualy come back after a month or two of driving.
Now i know they relate to long term fuel trims that are above the limit, meaning the ECU is trying to adjust the fueling way too much to cover for something else being out of wack.
There are two issues i have noticed:
- rough idle on cold start ups- this happens for the first 10 or 20 seconds when
starting first time from cold, sometimes the engine sounds like its going to stall and it gets realy shakey but after that 20 second mark the idle stabilizes and its fine for the rest of the day.
- temperature stays at 70-75C when crusing on open road and it takes long time to warm up on cold starts, now i know this is sign of open thermostat, but it was already replaced last year for the same reason and now its doing it again.
I have already replaced MAF sensor with a new genuine one few months ago, but it hasn't helped it, any other suggestions?
