engine light off after 50k
Proof these cars have a mind of their own.
When i bought my 156 v6 cf3 i had the cambelt done straight away at alfaworkshop for peace of mind.
On my way home the engine management light came on so i calld wasold it is prob a oxygen sensor learning new parameters so carried on.
I had the code checked and reset and turned out it was one of the 4 oxygen sensors so seeing az it didnt effect the car at all i did nothing.
52000 very reliable miles later at 106k the car was feeling a bit jerky when cold so i thought id start by cleaning the throttle body as this was a problem on my old 146.
Started and the throttle didnt work so did a reset and all is well including no engine light. must have been the muck on the throttle body all along.
So if anyone gets an oxygen sensor error, clean your throttle body first. All i can think is the throttle was making it run a bit lean which gave it dodgy o2 readings.
