Moaning Engine

Dear All,

I have two questions to ask regarding my 147 1.9 JTDm 16v sport Q2 5-door

1. What would be the cost of a New engine?
2. My turbo has definitely gone and an Engine Control System warning message appeared. What issues are listed under this Engine Control System warning?

Many thanks,

Unlikely that you'll need a new engine, but anywhere from say 600 - 2000, depending on whether you get a well-used one or a virtually rebuilt one. A new or re-con turbo will probably be 450+

Motor Control System failure covers a whole range of issues, most of them trivial - basically its any of the engine sensors reporting an "out-of-range" reading - only real way to tell is to get the fault codes read.....
