Tend to the bangernomics theory - without the tax the car cost less than £300 - even doing it yourself you'll probably be spending half that on bits, and more than the cost of the car if you have it done for you. Given that its worth about £150 as scrap if the belt goes, there is no compelling economic argument for getting it done, and in any case I'm more of the opinion that its mileage rather than age that kills a belt, certainly at the 4 - 5 year age range anyway.
I wouldn't bother unless you really intend keeping the car for a couple of years or more. Its a gamble, of course, but one with a limited downside......
