Seems I'll now be fitting the ali one sooner than planned!
Got it fitted the other night. Getting the old setscrews out was a pain (everyone says that!). What a shame the garage hadn't dabbed a bit of copperslip on the threads when they last had the tray off.

New one fitted well, but it has 2 fewer screwholes than the original. Peter from Zeatek says this is fine, since it's more rigid than the original.

One of the rear setscrews sheared the captive nut off, so I had to drill out the resulting hole to take a blind fastener (like a rubber thimble with a screwed insert in it - most hardware shops sell them).

Engine noise is very slightly increased because of the echo effect, but nothing to be too worried about. Ground clearance only 4.5" (I have a Harvey Bailey spring kit), but so far I haven't collided with any speed humps!

I've dropped off the info to the specialist this morning so I'm hoping they will talk to Zeatek soon. I'll give them a call early next week. I'll probably order mine direct and that will be in August (get hols out the way first).
