I have changed my suspension (dampers and springs) on my 147 JTD 16v mjet, for a Zeatec lowering kit, but I am not sure about the rear mounting.
Issue is that with the suspension hanging unloaded, it is "loose" in the top mounting/bush, and I am able to move the entire strut appx. 1 cm up and down with little effort - is this normal?
I've had it by a local mechanic and he belives it's okay, as it is normally always under load when driving, but he is no Alfa expert, and they were quite tight when I removed them
Reason for being uncertain is also partially, that I am still having problems with vibrations after changing suspension, rear tires, balancing front tires, changing top wishbones and the left hand inner drive shaft and spider joint
Vibrations primarily occur when off throttle, rolling, and are not related to engine speed, but rather wheel rotation - could this be due to the rear "loose" suspension?
I've just changed to my winter wheels to see if that will make a difference..
Any ideas appeciated
