Grrrrrrrr.... ongoing black smoke and low power issues - 1.9 JTD!!
Ok, so far I have replaced to EGR, fitted the limiting plate, replaced lower turbo hose and pulled huge amounts of hair out.... but this morning, after having some great acceleration post fitting the new (autolusso) turbo hose, the low power and black smoke issue has re-occured! Excelleration is poor, getting speed above 70 is problematic and followed by clouds of smoke out the back.
When I took the EGR off I noticed there was loads of black oily gunk at the inlet manifold connection point so yes I think that needs cleaning/replacing (well when I can afford it!) but now, after reading even more posts I'm starting to think that the MAF might also be in need of replacing.
Am I fighting the wrong fires here, I don't know what I'm missing!? Has the increased power from replacing the turbo moved all the gunk back onto the EGR? Will i keep getting these issues until I sort the inlet manifold?
The turbo was making a nice turbo sound and then yesterday it went to slightly higher pitch so have I got turbo issues as well?
Any idea's would be appreciated!
