The car has 172K on it. Will probably get a bore gauge test done and make some decisions from there. Yes, most definitely the head will be removed! I can foresee a lot of lying in the grass as the car is on ramps in the back garden. Perversely I enjoy such projects?
Welcome to alfa ownership, so many home mechanics here with plenty of advice mostly good some not so good and helpful and not so helpful people, take some pics and start a repair thread loads of people like those.
Providing the bottom end isnt knocking a list of things to look for and parts to change taking the mileage int consideration,
with compresion results above i'd suspect either burnt valves, bent valves, or head gasket.
List of parts providing the bores are not scored and you are happy to glaze bust with the block and crank in the car.
Big End Shells (size you will need to check most likely STD)
Timing Belt Kit
Balance Belt Kit (in the UK it is cheaper to buy these two kits seperatly)
Special Tools required
Long Ribe tools for Sump M7 and M8
Ribe tool for Head M13
CAM locking tool
and a DTi Gauge.
