What is a 'body computer' ?
What you mean as "ECU" is just engine ECU that controls just the engine. There are many "ECUs" (electronic control units) on the car, AC has it own, airbags, ABS/VDC, central locking, if you have connect nav navigation its is also an ICE ecu and talks on canbus with the rest of the car... there are many ECUs. Body computer is the main one that connects all of them together via canbus and makes them talk together.
Mileage blinking means some node/ecu unit on the canbus is not responding or not recognized or replaced. Proxy alignment makes them pair together, something like bluetooth headset pairing. After this it will not flash.
