Floor Welding

My new 156 has 3 holes in the floor.

1 at the front nreaside jacking point, about 1" x 2 "

2 on two of the drainage holes at the rear of the floor

The car is a long term project but i will obviously need these sorted to get it through its MOT (as it currently doesnt have one )

Any body had similar work done what can i expect to pay ??

As regards the MOT, they may not be a fail. The jacking point might be as it is close to the sill. Not sure where the drainage holes are, but if they are a good distance from suspension mounting points, then for the MOT it is OK.

Not sure what your MOT garage is like, but mine is a decent garage as well, and they have a bloke who welds. Cost £40 or so to sort my GTV with similar problems. You can reduce the cost by stripping out the interior so they don't have to do it.

if it's more than 300mm from a suspension point then it won't be an issue

but not a big job anyway.
if you can puul back the carpets etc yourself then it won't take a garage long to fix. doing the donkey work yourself (pulling carpets, cleaning the underseal, putting carpets back) will save you paying them an hourly rate to do the easy stuff
