Thumbs Up Peak Alfa

Had my 147 in at peak alfa on monday for some work and just wanna give some good feedback on the garage.

Had my timing belt, auxillery belt, water pump, cam variator and anti-freeze done at a cost of 396.

All dealings in email and on the phone we very helpful in arranging the work and obtaining prices.

On the day, arrived and spoke with the mechanic there(not sure of his name, possibly roger from the winners podium pic on the website) confirmed work to be done and also explained that an additional side light error was occurring. Asked for approximation of time to take and was given a rough estimate.

Received phone call on completion of work, informed all had gone well and was also informed of a few other little things that need looking at.

Went to pick up the car, Roger(i think lol) was there waiting for me with all parts that had been replaced on my car to show me wear and tear of the parts. He had also taken the time to investigate my additional problem and explained to me what the problem was with my side light. He also informed me of my torn rear wiper blade.

He was very easy to talk to and spoke to me about general things to do with my car and his preferences for parts, oils etc.

His assistant/secretary was also very pleasant to talk to and was the one who took my payment and also took the time to explain the work that had been done and the areas that needed looking at.

I would recommend Peak Alfa as a first choice for anyone within the yorkshire/derbyshire area and maybe even further out if you dont mind travelling. I will be using Peak Alfa for all my work on my alfa in the future, major work/services etc.

One final thing regarding the price. My local independant garage quoted me 250 for labour and timing belt replacement, told me to buy my own balance belt (which im assuming they meant auxillery belt) and give it to them and they would fit. So taking the 250 plus the cost of the auxillery belt, variator, anti-freeze and water pump and i think it would have come to similar if not more than wat i paid at Peak Alfa who are specialists.

I think alot of people sometimes assume that specialists will charge similar to dealership prices(which are a rip off) but Peak Alfa are excellent for prices I think n i would rather have it done by a specialist who is doin it all right and has alot of experience with the same types of cars than some other garage who doesnt know alfas that well, and for around the same price as well.
