Well, didnt get much further last night. After being tipped off that the alarm could be accessed by a 'keyhole' in the top right of the engine bay, i decided to have a go, popping out rubber bungs, padding etc. but it was in vain. I was also told a fuse maybe under the passenger footwell when you remove allt he sound deadening, again, nothing to be found, i thought whilst under there id strip my fingers trying to disconnect various items and re-test the Ampage, still through the roof.
One thing, the rear nearside fog lamp does not work, comes on dimly at night, so this was disconnected, but the drain still existed. As this didnt work anyway, ive disconnected the feed, oddly the speedo shot up to 160mph whilst doing all of this, so maybe it has fused at some point, maybe i need a new speedo.. a lot of fuss if im wrong!
Other than that my last trial and error would be to some how jack the car up, get the wing opened up and disconnect the alarm, however i tried pulling fuse 12 and this made no difference (even though central locking and alarm didnt work via the key obviously).
Really frustrating. Any ideas? I cant really afford to get it into an auto electrician garage this month, instead im pulling the 80 amp fuse every morning and night to avoid drain, this seems less harsh than the battery disconnection awith all warning lights and beeps going off.
