Help-Gear box trouble on Selespeed

Hi All

Transmission fluid issue, Dexon III bought, been to two mechanics and both have scratched there heads and turned me away as simply cannot resolve the issue, one mechanic being a old friend of the family, old boy and I think at a loss with what to do. I have have seeked help from the forumn around a week ago and it was suggested that the fluid will need bleeding, either mechanix didnt know how and also the pump which i was told prime the gearbox on start up is making a stange clicking noise rather than its normal smooth electrical check and pump noise, at a loss people so any help , any suggestions of a good place to take it in Notts would be a great help, bleeding money with no remedy

See the Independent thread here: (Independent garage Recommendations)

There should be an Indy around Nottingham.

Do not let a non Alfa tech to touch Selespeed. Also verify costs and root cause/solution here before you commit.

Bleeding is done via a separate computer/tool that communicates with the Selespeed COntrol Unit. This, if something was replaced or unit was re-assembled.

Might be pump, battery (is it low/dead/mostly dead? - sele's need power) or accumulator. Best to verify fault codes, clutch rod length (another procedure for calibration done using the computer, comm cable and suitable software like FES).

Cogito Ergo Zoom - I think. Therefore I drive fast.
