05 147 JTD 8v MCSF code P0235

hi all i've had the above MCSF appear twice this week both times when accelerating in 4th gear which then causes the car to drop into limp mode momentarily the explanation given by MultiEcuScan is as follows

Boost Pressure sensor A circuit malfunction
The reason for this fault is that ECU has received invalid signal from the sensor. The fault is not detected now, but it is stored in memory. Clear fault codes, and observe for future appearance of the same fault. Dashboard warning light was activated for this fault.

Any ideas people, the car will be going to my local indie specialist as soon as i can get it there but what we thinking, simple or expensive.... or better still DIY

Check the turbo pipes for holes/splits. Does it smoke when accelerating?

the pipes have just been replaced with silicone ones dood, i've sussed it anyway ( i hope ) just had the MAP sensor off and it was mega dirty so given it a clean as best i can without risking damaging anything hopefully that'll sort it if not i'll order a new one.

just one question though, could that bolt possibly have been fitted in a more awkward position for that sensor,

nope, fault still there, anybody have any other ideas, the turbo is less than 1 year old it was replaced just after christmas and had no problems until now, the error always comes up around 3000-4000rpm in either 4th or 5th gear under acceleration it never occurs in the lower gears or at lower revs

If its not the pipes(changed) and MAP(changed), then its probably sticking vanes on the turbo, or the vacuum pipes.

the turbo was brand new only 8 months ago though so it's highly unlikely to be that???

Fault has cropped up again, only now it's not going away got no turbo boost at all the car seems to be in limp mode, plugged in to FiatEcuScan and got code P0235 with explanation Boost Pressure sensor A circuit malfunction
The reason for this fault is that ECU has received invalid signal from the sensor. The fault is present now. Take appropriate action to fix this sensor fault. Dashboard warning light was activated for this fault.

as mentioned above the turbo is only around 1 year old and the MAP sensor was replaced a few months ago, any ideas people it's going into a specialist as soon as possible but with it being Christmas now i'm struggling a bit
