Motorway Drive, Fuel Consumption MPG
Guys, i have a November 2000 156 2.0L T.Spark,
Driving from Southend to Brighton i have worked it out and i can only manage 31mpg at the most if i drive at a constant speed of 70mph ish,
i keep the car well serviced with oil + filter changes every 6 months and air filter every year, checked tyre pressures before i started my journey, and i only stick with Shell V Power every time i fill up.
driving from home to work every day which is 11mile round trip to work and back and my fuel consumption is 25mpg.
Filled up £45 worth of Vpower which is 1.409p here and comes just under 32Litres and its 169.2 miles from here to Brighton and back, so 30~31mpg is all i can get, is there anything i could do to improve it? i have a slight exhaust manifold leak which i have tried to fix but with no luck.
What are you're thoughts?
