Battery Drain now no alarm arming noise

Hi folks
newbie here, i'm in usa, the wifes went back to UK for a week to check on things........ battery totally drained on my 2009 Alfa Gt Cloverleaf (30K miles)
she has got it recharged and radio code reset, but now no indication that the alarm is armed, by lights/beeps, anyone got a clue or guide that i can send her to follow to remedy, a little scared its not properly locked or alarmed.
for any assistance.

If the battery has been left flat for any length of time its probably knackered. Assuming it has held a charge though and the lights and things work okay on the car then I'd suggest disconnecting the battery for five minutes then seeing what happens.

Maybe the internal backup battery of the alarm needs some time to recharge, since it was probably also fully depleted if the main battery was dead for some time....

So is the alarm arming or not? Just lock it with the fob then unlock with the key in the door and open - if armed it'll shout at you. If not then it wont. Also there should be a tiny red led on the dash which will flash when it's armed. Not sure where on a GT but on my 156 it's on the info centre housing on top of the dash.
