People run 10W60 with no bother so a 5W/50W should be okay.
The thing is to look at the API rating of the oil. It will be SH, SJ or something like that. Compare that to the User manual for your locale.
For example, the 155 V6 wants an SG rating. Any oil of a higher rating (so long as it's the right grade) will be okay for it.
Chainsaw and mower oils are rated around SC so they are miles too weedy for a car engine. I'd guess the TS engine wants SJ or better and honestly it's hard to find a motor oil that doesn't meet that spec'.
50W is okay, even in the highest temperature. The engine oil won't go much above 100C despite the external temperature, as the coolant and radiator fan will keep it at a maximum temperature (if all's well!).
