help changing left sidelight

as above, its proving to be a nightmare on my 147. Basically its a tiny bulb that sits in the top of the headlight. to get to it u have to pull a piece of plastic which sticks out to reach it (impossible to reach, trust me), unfortunately this plastic has snapped so how the hell do i pull it out now??? Can i pull it out by the wires or am i more than likely gonna pull the wires out. Help please as the damn left side light failure and icon are doing my head it!!!

Re: help changing left sidelight

mmm it snapped??? that surely will make it a hell more difficult. i changed my sidelight before but i understand there isnt any wires you can pull, its just the plastic stick attached straight to the bulb!!
