Re: 17" Wheels on the 147
Ride comfort cant be judged objectively. It is always a matter of personal taste. I drive 15" winter and 17" normal tyres. When I swap them I cant say I experience dramatic difference in comfort. There is a diference, sure, but the car becoms mainly more responsive as Jomor says. The ride is still comfy, but you have to concentrate more on your driving. With 17" you have to hold your steering wheel well as the car has a tendency to follow the unevenness of the road. Yes, driving over speed bumps or potholes is a bit rougher and you have to pay more attention to the road to avoid them, but at least you are concentrating at the driving. 15" wheels are not an excuse for not paying attention and driving through potholes, most drivers instinctively try to avoid them anyway, not regarding the wheel size.
