Firstly, sorry for bumping a new thread, but it is very similar to my problem so seemed pointless making a new one (and getting the "use the search" answers).
Basically, mine has a very heavy shudder from the front when accelerating. It used to be when accelerating lightly on the motorway but was getting worse, so I had a look and found that the N/S outer CV boot was split. I replaced this with one of those 'glue together' ones, which soon fell apart leaving it totally exposed. As a result I opted for a new driveshaft to save the heartache, and fitted it myself. The problem seems to go away for a while, but soon reappeared and has become worse than ever.
I have a feeling it may be 'new joint in worn cup syndrome' as davealfa11 described it? What does this refer too though? The actual part that the splined end of the shaft pushes into?
Alternatively, could this be an engine mount issue?
