Talking of diesel tuning in this thread is irrelevant, its easy to make them give more power, just chuck more fuel in untill something breaks then back it off a little!

Well forced induction tuning is irrelevant since boost patterns and fuel maps are adjusted to give more power. They come with their own problems since the increaseis usually that great in torque they destroy clutches and gearboxes.

There still fun though.

I personally think it's worth it.
Air induction 50 +1-5hp
2.0 camshaft 50 +1-5hp
Remap 200 +10hp

So 300 for a good improvement of over 10% relatively easily and the majority of it coming from a remap which usually makes the drivability of a car alot better.

Some exhausts are over that price and give nothing extra other than sound.
It's about the best engine modifications you can do without taking the head off and porting / polishing and enlarging the valves and throttle bodies.
