GT head unit to Pioneer double din

Hello guys, just trying to install a double din unit into my alfa.....unit works in another car....but I plug into my alfa and it does turn on....(ive not tried to start the car, just the ignition).

Wires seem to look ok i.e. the red and black from the car goes into the red and black in the plug......Ive read a couple of bits on I am just confused.

Anyone tried fitting a pioneer head unit and needed to make any adjustments, please let me know the trick.

Thanks in advance.

Have a look at Shiny cars thread on fitting a new head unit in the ICE forum, it explains about swapping the switched and permenant lives in an Alfa.

Did you disconnect the battery? I blew the fuse as I didn't disconnect mine. Worth a check first and foremost

Also I believe GT needs a live tapped from the cig lighter too
