Good luck.... Little word of advice and I know it sounds like telling you granny to suck eggs but I have always done this before going for a test ...
pressure wash the car and under the arches and what else you can reach
check all lights works and all fluids are correct
check washers work and wipers are ok
jack car up and have a look at all pipes and body
bounce the suspension up and down
check steering and power steering pipes
all cv's and gators are ok
tyres are legal
I do alot more but then I trained as a mechanic lol... The amount of people I have seen there car fail there mot from having a light out or no fluid in the washer bottle. You can only check so much and it just shows up anything that would be noticable without doing a full pre-mot check on the car.
oh and ALL your internal MIL lights work . Only one that is advisory at the minute is the airbag light and thats changing in September
