Well after a series of problems with my 147 2.0 TS Lusso I have part exchanged her!
In the 5 months of ownership I have had the following:
-replacement of all spark plugs & leaking rocker cover gasket £328.69
-MOT failure, new radius arm & post bush required £105.64
-72k service, new cambelt & variator etc £574.23
-Faulty steering wheel controls, upgraded HU and new interface
-Last Saturday, Motor Control System Failure (again) which is a shot piston=no compression, engine strip down at least £1500 quoted!?!
Enough is enough, no confidence left in the car - cut my losses!
The good bit is that the Alfa specialist gave me a good trade in price and I have bought a 2004 53 plate Lusso 1.9 JTD 16 valve 5k on the clock in alfa red. Never driven a diesel in my life and I was pleasantly SHOCKED at how it drove, I was grinning ear to ear! alas it has cloth seats and no comfort pack but at least it goes unlike the TS!
I collect next Weds and will post some piccies. One question - I noticed it had an oil level meter reading prior to startup, is this exclusive to diesels or just the later models?
