As this post is awake again, maybe someone can answer this. I've got torque pro connected to a cheapo ELM327 into a 2006 Alfa GT diesel. It worked, eventually. . I noted the protocol being used and set that in the protocol scan for faster connection. First question. How do I use it to reset the service interval back to 12000 km? Its been at zero for years, I sometimes forget when I last changed the oil, a countdown would be nice. Second, I have the demo of AlfaOBD, it connects to the ELM, but when I select the ECU and press connect, after a while it says 'cant read ECU, check Baud rate etc' I haven't managed to find a setting for baud in the configuration, just lots of timeouts and Byte settings. Thirdly, am I right in saying that the ELM only connects via the ECU K line (pin 7), and if I did get it to connect at all, would I need to bridge to the other K pins to access Airbag, Central locking etc. Does it also connect via the CAN bus? One of my keys doesn't operate the remote locking even though it is transmitting. I'd like to try and add it back on. I don't want to pay the big bucks for AlfaOBD full version unless I can connect to that particular controller. I notice in AlfaOBD that there is a body computer (Marelli controller) and Engine controller (Bosch and others). I assume Engine controller is the 'ECU'. Will I be able to connect to the other controllers with the ELM or will I need to add a cable in between to link pins 9 and others to pin 7.
