U may need to take off the wheels to get in at the screws for the wheel arch liners.
Unscrew the wheel arch liners from the front of the bumper and pull/lever them out of the way so u can get ur hand in to the gap between them and the bumper. There are 2(but possibly 4 depending) hex head screws(size 7 socket) that hold the bumper on to the car ,1 on either side,so when u unscrew those screws the bumper will come free from the side of the front wings.
Then its just a case of unscrewing the rest of the bumper bolts (torque bolts) with a torque allen key.Its an allen key but with a star shape pattern in it.Theres 4 on the top of the bumper when u open the bonnet and 5 underneath the front of the bumper. Then when the bumper falls off diss-connect the indicator loom and ur done. Its a bit of a pain in the ass,but hey what do u expect, its an Alfa
I ripped out my arch liners and never put them back on again
Its less hassle in the long run.
Best of luck with it.
thanks alfadublin, im aware of all of the fittings you have mentioned except for the 5 underneath the bumper? can you tell me where they are exactly? are they in the region of the Alfa grill or someplace?
