Help 147 misfire

I have a 147 2.0 Selespeed, it's started to do what I'd describe as a misfire (Alfa call it a hesitation..) on acceleration from low revs.

It's been to my main dealer for 2 weeks and they are at a loss as to the cause. Technicians from Alfa UK have also 'allegedly' been to look at it and are similarly baffled. It only occurs when the engine is cold and when accelerating..when the engine starts from cold the revs die down and then come back up again.

The dealer replaced the coils as they were showing as errors on the car's computer apparently, but this didn't resolve..

Any ideas?

Re: 147 misfire

Hi George, welcome to AOer.com

Have they checked the Air flow meter? Usually a bad AFM gives that "hesitation".
