Was hoping you wouldnt say that! Sure will try get a pic posted. Will cobolt drill bits not go through the titanium one? The annoying thing is its on the cat convertor part (the closest to the end of the car which joins to the intermediate silencer) and even if I took that out (which is tricky as the bolts are also very rusty!) I don't think I'd be able to get a drill round the other side as the main larger cat convertor box is in the way (and my drill is pretty beefy). Itll be clearer when I take a pic, but i was thinking maybe I could try to re-drill with a 2mm down the side of the stuck peice, its going to be trickydoing that as there is already about 0.3 or 0.3mm worth of "dent" that means the drill heads want to go down that same path, but perhaps I could sand that off somehow and try again? I have an orbital sander (pretty cheap 30 quid one) not sure if that would would.
Raining again today so as soon as the sun pops out i'll take a pic. Any other thoughts welcome!
On an unrelated note, does anyone know if on this original part (I believe the part is the original still) for the cat convertor mentioned here, whether those bolts come with a nut on the end or whether the "holes" have threads in them? Given that my intermediate exhaust doesnt have threads (bolt and nut needed) I assumed that would be the same for the part it connects to, but what is baffling me is the fact I can't see any nuts on the other side. Either they have rusted away completely,or the original hole did have threads, or I can't see how the bolts would have been held in place! If the nuts on the other side have in fact just rusted away, this could surely just mean I could whack them with a hammer and chisel and the stuck bit would come out? Is a long shot, but any thoughts!?
