Looky Looky Something is unplugged (diesel pump?)

Hi guys,

The other day I saw something was unplugged near my diesel pump and was just hanging there loose. I didn't do much about it because I was in a hurry and I was about to get my car to a garage the next day. The mechanic there didn't mention the hanging plug at all. I decided to show you guys what it is so I took a few snaps. Can anybody tell me what this plug is and where it goes?

Looks like your water in diesel sensor is missing. It screws into the bottom of your fuel filter.
